Welcome to the Sikes/Sykes Family Pages which presently include 1847 familes over 7 generations. Much of the data in this family history is based on the work of a number of Sikes/Sykes family members but principly on the ancestral history “Arthur and Sampson Sikes (Sykes) of Stewart County, Tennessee (1794 - 1871/ABT 1791 - 1825)“ authored by Henry Colyer Sykes. Work on developing the Graham/Wormood families entries were in large part accomplished by Shirley Atkins Hartman.
The surname Sykes and Sikes represent two spellings yet either are correct, at times strangely interchangeable within the same family.
