Charles Cortland Snook and Edith Van Rensselaer Sweet Snook lived on High Bridge St. by 1942. Mr. Snook was born on 1-22-1878, and was a native of Wampsville, NY. He came to Fayetteville about 1890, and later was in the insurance business and operated Snook's Pond--a swimming facility on Highbridge Rd. Mrs. Snook was born in Chicago on 2-22-1884, and the couple wed on 5-9-1903. She died on 12-13-1952, and Mr. Snook died on 4-28-1971, at age 93.
