Thomas O. Nemsky, age 75, of Edwardsville, died at 7:10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born on Aug. 12, 1930, in Troy, the son of the late Paul and Elvia Wylder Nemsky.
He married Edna "Lou" Burrow on Dec. 1, 1951, in Arlington. She survived him.
Also surviving were five sons, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and best friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Destiny Nemsky, a brother Paul Nemsky, and two sisters Maxine West and Delores Haller.
Mr. Nemsky was a maintenance man at Arch Builders in East St. Louis for 27 years. He was also a self-contractor in East St. Louis for several years, and previously worked at Granite City Steel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Visitation was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Irwin Chapel of Glen Carbon.
Funeral services were at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Dealey officiating.
Interment was at Friedens Evangelical Cemetery in Troy.
