Clovis Dean Ables, age 76, of Cottage Grove, Tenn., died Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Jackson Madison Co. Gen. Hosp. in Jackson, Tenn.

Clovis was a member of Cottage Grove Baptist Church. He was a School Bus Driver for 35 years for the Henry County School System. He was also a Lifelong farmer and US Army Veteran and he enjoyed fishing.

He was born August 12, 1939 on Cottage Grove, TN to the late Virchel E. Ables and the late Virgie Hill Ables.

Clovis was married March 14, 1962 to Judy O'Daniel Ables and she survives. He is also survived by his One Daughter, Kristy (Howard) Powell of Cottage Grove, Tenn; One Son, Edwin (Brenda) Ables of Cottage Grove, Tenn; One Sister, JoAnn Venable of Paris, Tenn; Two Brothers, Thomas Vethro Ables of Cottage Grove, Tenn, Elmo Ables of Martin, Tenn; Grandchildren, Daniel Powell, Samantha (Josh) Warbritton, Dallas Ables, and Dakota Ables; and One Great Grandchild, Brodie Warbritton.

Besides his parents, Clovis was also preceded in death by a Sister, Zelma Bradley; 2 Brothers in infancy; and a Great Grandchild, Bentley Warbritton.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 8 pm Tuesday, December 15, 2015 and from 11 am – 1 pm Wednesday, December 16, 2015. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 16, 2015.

Chad Kennedy will officiate. Pallbearers will be Marty Ables, Chucky Ables, Mickey Hicks, Daniel Powell, Josh Warbritton, and David Bell.

Interment will be at Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove, Tenn.
